Job Description

Video Production Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Video Production Lead based in the United States.

This is a hands-on video production leadership role responsible for building and running a high-volume production engine across linear, OTT, UGC, and performance marketing channels.
You will own projects from initial brief through final delivery, balancing creative quality, speed, budget, and operational rigor.
The role works closely with creative directors, growth marketers, agencies, production companies, freelancers, and post-production partners.
You will bring structure to complex productions by managing casting, locations, crews, contracts, usage rights, compliance, and delivery timelines.
Success requires strong production instincts, exceptional organization, and the ability to anticipate risks before they affect a project.
You will also identify opportunities to improve workflows and use AI-enabled tools to create measurable efficiencies as production volume grows.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced producer who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys combining creative operations with disciplined execution.

Accountabilities
  • Own video production projects end to end, managing scope, budgets, timelines, stakeholders, and final delivery across multiple formats and channels.
  • Lead pre-production activities including casting, locations, crews, permits, logistics, scheduling, and other requirements needed for successful shoot days.
  • Manage high-volume asset versioning, resizing, and adaptation while maintaining quality and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate compliance reviews for creative assets, identifying claims or content requiring legal approval before distribution.
  • Partner with editors, motion designers, production companies, agencies, and post-production vendors to maintain quality and delivery standards.
  • Serve as the primary production contact for stakeholders, translating creative priorities into clear production plans and keeping projects aligned from kickoff through completion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with production vendors, agencies, freelancers, and other external partners, determining when projects should be outsourced or handled internally.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage production contracts, statements of work, talent agreements, and other vendor documentation in partnership with legal teams when needed.
  • Source and evaluate new production partners and independent talent, expanding a reliable network of trusted creative resources.
  • Track talent usage rights and licensing requirements across paid social, television, radio, and other channels, ensuring renewals and permissions remain compliant.
  • Manage multiple concurrent productions, from fast-turn social content to larger brand and product initiatives, while identifying resource constraints and escalating needs early.
  • Improve production processes, workflows, and systems to increase efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and support growing content volume.
  • Support broader creative operations through project tracking, stakeholder communication, compliance workflows, and proactive blocker removal.
  • Incorporate AI tools and workflows into production processes where they can generate measurable improvements in speed, quality, or operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience in video production, creative production, or a comparable field, with a demonstrated ability to manage productions from concept through final delivery.
  • Proven experience managing production vendors, contracts, statements of work, talent agreements, licensing terms, and usage rights.
  • An established network of production companies, agencies, freelancers, and creative partners that can be activated efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of video production and post-production workflows, including casting, locations, crews, editing, motion design, and asset delivery.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail, quality, timelines, and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without sacrificing production standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to brief creative partners, manage expectations, provide clear feedback, and resolve issues quickly.
  • Collaborative and commercially minded approach, with genuine curiosity about both creative quality and the performance of video content.
  • Experience using AI tools or developing AI-enabled workflows to improve production processes, such as casting, editing, asset versioning, or compliance review.
  • Strong operations and process mindset, with the ability to move seamlessly between creative production and broader creative operations.
  • Comfortable taking ownership with limited oversight and proactively identifying risks, resource gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Benefits
  • Competitive U.S. base salary range of $105,000–$185,000, with individual compensation determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
  • Additional compensation may include applicable bonuses and equity opportunities.
  • Remote work opportunity for U.S.-based employees.
  • Access to comprehensive company benefits and wellness programs.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth environment where video plays a central role in performance marketing and customer acquisition.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and creating an authentic environment where employees can contribute and grow.
  • Opportunity to work with creative directors, growth teams, agencies, production partners, and cross-functional stakeholders on a broad range of video initiatives.
  • Professional environment that encourages experimentation, operational improvement, and the use of emerging AI technologies.
  • Candidates who do not meet every listed qualification are encouraged to apply when their experience demonstrates strong potential and relevant capabilities.
