Job Description
State Fair Community College is an accessible, learning-centered institution, enriching its students and community by providing skills, knowledge and perspectives essential for a changing world.
The Admission & Outreach Work Study is an hourly position with responsibilities to assist with daily office responsibilities.
Provide excellent customer service for walk-ins and phone calls for all guests.
Promptly respond to admissions emails with accuracy.
Assist prospective students in the application process.
Execute calling campaigns to encourage students to submit required materials for their application.
Scanning, data entry, hard copy and electronic filing and indexing.
Enter inquiry information.
Assist with on campus events, campus tours and other campus information/direction to relevant office.

This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program.
The job is in a fast-paced environment that requires good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills. Candidate will possess a working knowledge of computers, excellent oral and written communications skills, demonstrate student centeredness and be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds in a positive manner. Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college.
Employment will require a criminal background check at college expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
