OVERVIEW: We are looking for a positive and high-paced individual to join our team to assist with accounting tasks for our growing community management company. This position will be located in Lacey, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, the ability to multitask and adjust to an ever-changing deadlines and schedules.
About Our Company: We are a growing community management company, with clients throughout the Puget Sound area and offices in Lacey, WA and Tacoma, WA.
Job Location: Lacey, WA
Hours/Week: 40 hrs / week
Starting Salary: $29 to $35 per hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting Clerk performs day-to-day tasks within the accounting department and provides leadership and support to other clerks within the team. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounting:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Invoicing
- ACH processing
- Audit/tax support
- Delinquent account processing
- Communication with customers on accounting-related matters
- Direct and supervise client onboarding and offboarding processes
- Address escalated accounting issues
- cooperate with Controller/Finance Officer and Operations Manager to address complicated cases
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Supervision:
- Serve as supervisor and provide direction, consultation, and support for Accounting Clerks
- Provide HOA Accounting training to new employees and ongoing training to current Accounting Clerks
- Participate in Performance Reviews and address employee requests as needed.
- Coordinate with HR to address HR-related questions in the department.

Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organizational and time management skills
- Excellent knowledge of general computer systems
- Work well under pressure
- Good knowledge of accrual method of reporting
- General understanding of trust accounting requirements within the context of community management is preferable
Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant experience.
