This role supports employees throughout the leave of absence process, helping ensure requests are handled accurately, confidentially, and in line with applicable policies and regulations.
You will manage leave intake, documentation, tracking, and employee communications across a range of leave types.
The position offers an opportunity to build practical experience in HR operations, benefits administration, and employee support.
You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, People Relations, Payroll, Benefits, and other internal teams.
Strong organization and attention to detail will be essential as you manage multiple cases, deadlines, and sensitive records.
This is a fully remote U.S.-based opportunity within a people-focused environment that values consistency, compliance, and employee experience.

Accountabilities:
  • Assist with the intake, administration, and tracking of employee leave requests, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and short-term disability.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees about documentation requirements, timelines, leave status, and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date leave records within HR systems and related tracking tools.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, HR Business Partners, and People Relations teams to support accurate leave processing and benefit continuation.
  • Monitor leave timelines and follow up on required certifications, return-to-work documentation, extensions, and other outstanding information.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding leave policies, procedures, and administrative requirements.
  • Develop familiarity with applicable federal and state leave regulations and internal policies to support consistent and compliant case administration.
  • Assist with reporting and analysis related to leave volumes, trends, and other HR metrics.
  • Manage multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and service.
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in HR, benefits, employee services, or administrative support; prior leave administration experience is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and other employee leave policies is beneficial, with additional training provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to employee interactions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with HRIS platforms, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional HR teams.
  • Must be able to work from within the United States and remain available five days per week during designated working hours.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position for candidates located in the United States, with no regular in-office requirement.
  • Base salary range of $49,200–$70,300 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
  • Eligibility for a restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Additional employee and financial wellness benefits and career development opportunities.
  • Supportive, inclusive workplace culture focused on employee growth, belonging, and professional development.
  • Reasonable accommodations are available throughout the recruitment and employment process for qualified individuals with disabilities.
