The Sr Quality Control Operator ensures that assigned production projects meet established quality standards, technical specifications, and client expectations. Working independently while collaborating with internal teams, this role supports accurate execution of production workflows and continuous improvement across operations.
- Review and validate final layouts, artwork files, and production deliverables to ensure compliance with technical specifications, client guidelines, and quality requirements.
- Establish and maintain quality standards across production processes, workflows, and customer deliverables.
- Apply industry-standard software, prepress techniques, and print production methods to complete intermediate-level artwork assignments accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in project and production meetings to understand requirements, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Manage assigned projects within defined workflows, budgets, and standard operating procedures while ensuring deadlines are achieved.
- Maintain accurate project tracking records, including status updates, time allocation, production details, and quality observations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance tools, workflows, reporting, and production efficiency.
- Support business performance by ensuring completed production work aligns with original client specifications and quality expectations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support operational goals.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of graphic production environments, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in graphic arts, production, prepress, or a comparable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of digital artwork preparation, print production processes, and quality control methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, analyze information, and make sound quality decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across teams and with clients.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including locally, nationally, or internationally if required.
- Competitive annual salary range of approximately $77,796 - $87,796 USD, depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
