Position Responsibilities

The Senior Funding Coordinator is accountable for maintaining superior quality of work while also playing a key role in training new and existing staff, supporting key projects and initiatives, and monitoring overall team performance to maintain quality and service levels. This individual will sustain core functions, production, and timely completion of all documentation workflow and boarding of transactions, including critical review of fraud checks, in addition to being responsible for building relationships with internal teams and building knowledge of Channel. You will be accountable for following documentation procedures to process all lease and loan documents and handle funding requests from partners for complex transactions. To succeed in this role, you should be detail-oriented, a collaborative team player, and have expert knowledge of funding processes and procedures at Channel.

Key Tasks

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to funding staff to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and compliance in documentation and funding processes.
  • Project & Initiative Ownership: Lead key funding-related initiatives in collaboration with management, including process implementation for new product development, pilot programs, and cross-functional projects that impact funding operations and customer experience.
  • Process Improvement & Risk Management: Continuously evaluate and enhance documentation, onboarding, and funding processes to ensure scalability, risk mitigation, and alignment with company standards. Problem-solve issues and share solutions with management.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with leadership, underwriting, and operations to influence policies, procedures, and system enhancements that improve overall funding effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Oversight: Ensure fraud prevention, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance through quality control review and making judgment calls on exceptions.
  • Customer & Partner Relations: Act as an escalation point in collaboration with management and maintain high-level relationships with internal teams, referral partners, and customers to support growth, resolve complex issues, and protect the company’s reputation.
  • Responsible for the production and timely completion of all documentation workflow and boarding of the more complex transactions, including critical review of fraud checks
  • Other duties as required (reporting, projects, etc.)

  • Team Performance -- based on production, quality & service levels
  • Quantity of Work -- monthly document requests and funding requests processed
  • Quality of Work – accuracy/compliance and service levels
  • Projects/Initiatives/Training – critical role in all activities impacted the role & team
Requirements:

Education & Qualifications

  • 2- or 4-year degree is preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience as a Funding Coordinator or similar role
