HOPE 4 Youth provides a safe place for youth to access basic needs support, educational and employment programs and opportunities, and transitional housing options. Wages

$120,000 - $160,000 annual salary depending on qualifications and level of experience; In addition to salary, the Executive Director may earn discretionary incentive pay based on goal attainment.

Job Summary

HOPE 4 Youth is seeking an inspiring and strategic Executive Director to lead our next chapter of growth and impact. This is an exciting time to join HOPE 4 Youth as the organization prepares for its transition to a new Blaine facility in 2027 and continues to expand its impact on youth experiencing homelessness throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and organizational direction in partnership with the Board of Directors.
  • Lead and develop a talented leadership team and organizational culture.
  • Advance fundraising, donor stewardship, grant development, and community partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for HOPE 4 Youth.
  • Ensure strong financial stewardship and operational excellence.
  • Champion innovation, growth, and continuous improvement across programs and services.
  • Build collaborative relationships with government, business, nonprofit, and community partners.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience with at least 5 years in senior or executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success with leading nonprofit organizations, programs, or complex mission-driven initiatives.
  • Proven fundraising and relationship-development experience.
  • Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience working effectively with Boards of Directors.
  • Outstanding communication and public speaking skills.
  • Experience leading teams through growth, change, and organizational development.
  • It is preferred if candidates have previous experience in nonprofit leadership, human services, youth development, housing, behavioral health, education, healthcare, public sector, philanthropy, and/or other mission-driven organizations.
  • A valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet H4Y’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
