Warehouse Team Lead Overnight in Clifton, New Jersey at Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Overnight Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations while leading and supporting a team of warehouse associates. As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will work closely with warehouse leadership to ensure products are received, stored, and shipped accurately while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.

• Lead and support warehouse associates during daily operations.
• Receive, inspect, and put away inbound shipments.
• Pick, pack, and ship customer and third-party logistics (3PL) orders accurately.
• Distribute products to and from manufacturing.
• Maintain proper FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation.
• Ensure warehouse areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Resolve day-to-day employee concerns and promote effective communication between team members and management.
• Verify outgoing shipments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Apply barcode labels, pallet tags, allergen labels, and other required warehouse identification.
• Inspect inventory for damage or quality issues and report findings to Inventory Control and Quality teams.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience leading or supervising warehouse employees preferred.
• Experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Strong knowledge of RF scanning systems.
• Experience with FIFO inventory management.
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from pick lists and system-generated reports.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Work Environment

This position works in dry, refrigerated, and freezer environments and may be exposed to moving machinery, varying temperatures, moderate to high noise levels, and food allergens, including peanuts, milk, and tree nuts.
