Job Description

Cryopak is an innovative, cold chain & temperature-controlled packaging solutions manufacturer, for pharmaceutical, life science, biotech, food, and electronic companies. Cryopak helps to maintain the integrity of our customer’s products through the design, testing and manufacturing of packaging and materials for shipping cold chain products. We also provide the hardware and software for temperature verification along the distribution process.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

As a Production Team Lead you will be responsible for the proper conduct of the entire team on their shift. The Production Team Lead must achieve the set targets and ensure value-added production by maximizing the yield. The employee will be tasked to review, comment on and propose solutions for optimal performance ratios. Ensure compliance with health and safety on their shift. They may be called upon to collaborate with other departments depending on production and management needs.

  • The Production Team Lead will ensure that all operations are carried out correctly; enter production in the system and print production sheets.
  • Ensure that production personnel have all materials and equipment necessary to start their work according to production schedules.
  • Implement, train and deliver the standard operating procedures established for each workstation. Ensure the proper training and the correct filling of the production sheets
  • Ensure scheduling, control workflow, using data indicators to plan workload, ensuring production to better meet Cryopak's targeted targets.
  • Maintain and enhance the efficiency of production, initiate and implement continuous improvement projects, and work with the Director of Operations to implement new processes.
  • Shift responsibility for maintenance ensuring all lines are operating at required capacities. Working objectively to solve problems and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure the training of new employees and the smooth running of production activities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience in a similar position
  • Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Ability to use MS Office, including Excel
  • Strong organization, analytical, and management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written & oral)
  • Ability to drive a forklift is a plus
