  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of complex technology solutions and position offerings against customer requirements and competitive alternatives.
  • Develop a strong understanding of SLED purchasing dynamics, including E-Rate funding and the E-Rate sales process.
  • Stay informed about product offerings, competitive developments, market trends, and evolving customer needs.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet with customers and partners and strengthen field relationships.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise or technology sales, with a proven track record of hunting for new customers, developing opportunities, and achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong experience in prospecting, demand generation, pipeline development, business planning, forecasting, and consultative solutions selling.
  • Experience selling into State, Local, and Education (SLED) organizations, ideally with knowledge of E-Rate funding and procurement processes.
  • Strong understanding of networking, wired and wireless infrastructure, network management, security solutions, and relevant competitive offerings.
  • Ability to confidently communicate complex technical solutions and clearly articulate business value to customers and partners.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) and Clari or comparable CRM and sales forecasting platforms.
  • Strong competitive and industry knowledge, with the ability to identify market opportunities and differentiate solutions effectively.
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, and proactive, with the ability to operate independently and take initiative with limited direction.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with channel partners and cross-functional internal teams.
  • High standards of accountability, professionalism, and customer focus, with the ability to build trusted relationships across stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly each week to meet customers and partners throughout the territory.
