About This Position

The Business Development & Operations Coordinator supports the Vice President of Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) by identifying, cultivating, and tracking prospective job partners for the CWSP. This individual plays a key role in partner outreach and engagement, Salesforce data tracking, and logistical coordination for external-facing initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, brings strong communication and organizational skills, and enjoys building relationships that support student success.

This position works onsite in Minneapolis, MN; no hybrid or remote work available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partner Prospecting and Business Development

  • Source and research prospective corporate and nonprofit organizations that align with CWSP partnership goals.
  • Schedule and prepare materials for introductory meetings with prospective job partners.
  • Represent the school and CWSP in external-facing conversations with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Track and follow up on outreach efforts, including email correspondence, phone calls, and meeting notes.
  • Assist in the preparation of tailored partnership proposals and presentations.

Salesforce Management and Data Tracking

  • Log all prospective and active partner interactions in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Monitor key business development metrics and support the Vice President with data analysis and reporting.
  • Manage and maintain partner records, ensuring data quality and alignment with organizational tracking systems.
  • Assist with generating reports, dashboards, and partner engagement summaries for internal and board use.

Operational Support for the VP of CWSP

  • Manage the Vice President’s calendar of external meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Coordinate logistics for corporate engagement events, including tours, presentations, and info sessions.
  • Support cross-departmental communications and ensure timely follow-up on internal and external action items.
  • Handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Support the collection, compilation, and analysis of data from multiple sources to generate regular and ad hoc reports that inform program performance, guide strategic decision-making, and support stakeholder communications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in business development, external affairs, nonprofit operations, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to the mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and belief in the potential of all young people.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In order to best serve our families and students, bilingual verbal and written skills/fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred; to best represent our students, candidates who identify as Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latina, Black, or are from Somali or East African communities are also strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of Catholic Education.
