About This Position

Akira Technologies is seeking a Senior Mission Trainer (Team Lead) to support intelligence operations by developing, maintaining, and delivering mission-focused instructional materials aligned with TRADOC and Army training standards. This position provides leadership in curriculum development, instructional delivery, and training program execution for military audiences across multiple geographic locations within the United States.

The Mission Trainer ensures training products reflect current doctrine, policy updates, and intelligence tradecraft requirements while supporting Government-directed education systems and training tracking processes.

This is an onsite role supporting a government client in Fort Belvoir, VA. An active DoD TS/SCI with an ability to obtain CI Polygraph is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver intelligence training materials supporting mission goals, tradecraft, standards, and operational objectives.
  • Draft lesson plans, presentations, and curricula aligned with TRADOC and Army instructional standards.
  • Deliver instructor-led training to military audiences across multiple U.S. geographic locations.
  • Maintain instructional materials within Government-designated education systems such as:
    • AGILE
    • Training Development Capability (TDC)
  • Review emerging intelligence policy and doctrine publications and recommend updates for incorporation into training products.
  • Ensure training materials remain current, accurate, and compliant with evolving doctrine and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain training records and tracking systems as directed by the Government.
  • Provide instructional leadership and mentorship to training staff supporting intelligence education programs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure training aligns with mission priorities and workforce development needs.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of demonstrated experience in an intelligence discipline within DoD or the Intelligence Community (within the last 15 years) OR Associate's degree and 12 years of demonstrated experience in an intelligence discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience drafting and developing training materials or curricula in accordance with TRADOC and Army standards.
  • Demonstrated experience instructing and conducting training for military audiences.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience conducting training across multiple geographic locations within the United States.
  • Recent experience supporting intelligence training within the DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) environment.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance with an ability to obtain CI Polygraph.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000

Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
