POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Program Coordinator in the implementation of the Thriving Texas Families program, a grant-funded initiative designed to support women and fathers experiencing unexpected pregnancies. This position involves coordinating with staff within University Health clinics to manage referrals for women and fathers experiencing unexpected pregnancies. Navigators will assist and guide parents through various stages of pregnancy, promoting childbirth and supporting family health through a trust-based relationship model. This position will serve as a key role in case management and navigation, ensuring that parents are fully informed and can effectively use the resources available for their family’s health and well-being
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, health education or similar field or Community Health Worker certification is preferred. A minimum of 2 years or equivalent experience in the area of health education, public health, or case management is preferred. Experience providing educational presentations to both large and small groups as well as public speaking demonstrating effective communication skills is required. Previous experience navigating patients preferred. English/Spanish fluency is strongly desired
