Sr. Community Outreach Specialist, CPRIT Grant in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will serve as the link between the CareLink members, program coordinator, patient navigators, and UHS departments. This position will coordinate and participate in special community events, education, and preventive and wellness programs to provide information and education to the community at large about CPRIT colorectal screenings. Promotes University Health programs and identifies areas for collaboration.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in health education or a social science is required. Minimum of two years’ experience in community health promotion, volunteer activity coordination, or other preventive health programs in a community health setting is preferred. Experience in public and/or educational presentations, individually or in groups, demonstrating effective communication skills is required. English/Spanish fluency is required.
