Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.
Bring your technical expertise to a role that keeps our teams connected, productive, and well-supported. We’re looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused IT Support Representative to join the Information Technology Department. If you’re passionate about problem-solving, continuous learning, and providing prompt, courteous support to staff, we want to hear from you!
Reporting within the Information Technology Department, the successful candidate will provide prompt and courteous technical assistance and support to staff across all OCS sites. This includes deploying computers and resolving break/fix issues, configuring printers and managing network resources, and supporting networks, switches, and routers as well as Windows workstations and servers. The role also involves network structured cabling installation, local administration, and frequent travel between sites to keep technology running smoothly and reliably. Flexibility to work various hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and after-hours support in the event of emergencies.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of two years of network administration or technical support experience, along with post-secondary education or training in an IT-related discipline. Network structured cabling installation experience is preferred. Equivalent combinations of training and experience to the qualifications outlined below will also be considered.
On the technical side, an A+ Certification is preferred, along with MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Windows Server 2016 (or above) certification—or, at minimum, MCSA/MCSE certification with relevant experience. Microsoft 365, Azure Administrator, Windows Administrator, and Azure Hybrid certifications are also assets, and SonicWall router experience is valued. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with MS Office products (Office 2021 or newer), LTSC and local administration, networks, switches and routers, Windows workstations and servers, printer configuration and network management, network structured cabling installation, and deploying computers and resolving break/fix issues. Familiarity with the broader OCS technology environment is an asset, including NetApp SAN, Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS 10.0, Remote Desktop Services (Citrix, LogMeIn), SonicWall and Fortinet, private networks (MPLS/VPLS) and virtual private networks (VPN), VoIP and QoS, NEC VoIP/UC systems, and VMware, ShareFile, and Citrix.
Frequent travel between sites is required, so use of a reliable vehicle is necessary, along with the flexibility to work various hours—including evenings, weekends, and after-hours support during emergencies. Only those with existing training and skills in the areas above will be considered or contacted, and the successful candidate must pass a Criminal Record Check. An eligibility list will be maintained for up to six months.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please submit your RESUME and COVER LETTER through the “APPLY” button.
We thank all applicants for their interest in working with OCS. Due to the volume of applicants, only those qualified and shortlisted will be contacted.
