HR Generalist - Part-Time (Flexible Schedule) in Hampton, Virginia at M Price Distributing Co

One of the leading Beverage Distributors in Southeast Virginia is seeking a Part-Time HR Generalist to join our team. This position offers a flexible work schedule that can be negotiated to fit both your and our needs.

Our family owned and oriented company is looking for the newest member of our team! If you're a HR Generalist with compliance, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration and talent development exposure, we want to speak with you. You'll use your understanding of Human Resources to help build relationships with employees with the goal of development and retention.

A self-starter with an eye for the details

Familiar with payroll (preferably ADP) and benefits administration

Implement company culture, values and policies

Provide management with requested reports and documents

Accurately maintain employee files

Build rapport with a number of people every day

Collaborates with the Department Head on implementing employee recognition and engagement programs

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute leave policies, disciplinary matters, performance reviews, occupational health and safety, and training and development

Each day will be different from the next; especially in personal interactions. Great attentiveness to other people is required; an ability to read other people, to listen to them, and to empathize with them is beneficial. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Recruiter.

Driven to deliver accurate information concerning HR services

A knack for explaining payroll and benefits processes to employees and management

Adherence to established guidelines and procedures is important

Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
