Job Description
Overview: As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be working closely with the supply chain team on assigned projects for Keel.
Job Functions:
- EDI launch - ensure successful start on the EDI project by automating invoicing.
- Slow/obsolete cutting tool stock reduction to cut excess tool inventory to support cash flow and prevent ordering crib inventory that is not necessary.
A successful internship will launch the Keel EDI and help obtain updated certifications and representations for all Keel direct material and service suppliers, as well as achieve targeted reduction of obsolete or dead stock cutting tools that are extra expenses for the company.
Physical Demands: Extended computer use. Will sometimes be required to walk in the shop floor environment and lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment: Typical office environment with occasional trips to the manufacturing floor where there will be some exposure to dirt, debris, and heavy equipment. PPE will be required at all times on the shop floor.
Requirements:- In the process of earning a 4 Year bachelors’ degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- Analytical, good communication, and cross-functional team skills.
- Relevant coursework and academic projects, some prior full or part-time employment history.
- High energy, expeditious, ethical, optimistic/ready to help, and customer focused.
- Prior internship experience or employment in a Supply Chain related field a plus.
