About This Position
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products.
Primary Job Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Serve as a highly motivated leader and coach.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Create staffing schedules to maintain efficient workflow.
- Manage key operating performance indicators such as overtime, delivery reliability and productivity.
- Analyze financial performance reports to determine business direction.
- Prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all company, state, federal regulations with regards to safety and health standards.
- Manage all distribution safety and security initiatives; ensure zero accidents in the workplace.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse, inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School/GED.
- 5+ years management experience in a distribution environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented with ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suites
