This field-based commercial role focuses on advancing innovative immunology treatments for patients living with complex autoimmune conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). You will be responsible for driving brand growth across Western Canada by engaging healthcare professionals and delivering meaningful scientific exchanges. The position operates at the intersection of clinical knowledge, strategic sales execution, and cross-functional collaboration, requiring a strong ability to navigate a dynamic healthcare ecosystem. You will partner closely with key account managers, medical teams, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that improve patient outcomes. This is a high-impact role where you will use data-driven insights, omnichannel engagement, and relationship-building skills to influence prescribing behavior and support therapeutic advancement. This role is responsible for driving territory performance, strengthening healthcare provider relationships, and supporting the adoption of immunology therapies through strategic engagement and execution.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve and exceed sales objectives within assigned budgets.
- Engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) through face-to-face and digital channels to communicate clinical and scientific value of immunology products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and clinical stakeholders involved in lupus and rheumatology care.
- Analyze market dynamics and customer insights to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive developments.
- Collaborate closely with key account managers, medical teams, and internal partners to design and implement customer-focused solutions.
- Support the development and coordination of educational initiatives and learning programs for healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and pharmacovigilance reporting requirements, including adverse event tracking.
- Share insights, best practices, and field intelligence to contribute to continuous team and brand improvement.
This role requires strong pharmaceutical sales experience, scientific understanding, and the ability to influence healthcare professionals in a complex, specialty care environment.
- University degree in Science, Health Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biologics sales.
- Experience in rheumatology or lupus therapy areas is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to engage healthcare professionals and deliver impactful, insight-driven sales strategies.
- Strong understanding of omnichannel engagement, including digital and in-person customer interactions.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility quickly.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and influence without formal authority.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (including occasional overnight travel up to 20%).
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Competitive base salary ranging from $115,646.40 to $151,785.90 CAD annually
