This Training Specialist will report to the Training Manager.

Requirements:

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Training Specialist, you will be a vital catalyst in our team's success, directly shaping the confidenceand competence of new and existing employees. You will leverage your expertise to inspire growth,mentor colleagues, and work hand in hand with the development team to ensure excellence in productknowledge, process execution, and professional standards.


Your key contributions will include:


Training Preparation

  • Review and familiarize yourself with training presentations, activities, and materials before each training session.
  • Prepare, organize, and secure all training materials and inventory. Ensure all items are returned to the designated areas (e.g., the Lead Training Manager or the safe) at the end of each day.
  • Create professional content, presentations, assessments, and build curriculum as needed.
  • Assist in researching Learning Management Systems and converting existing training materials to the new platform.

Professional Representation

  • Represent the organization professionally during training sessions, demonstrating an exemplary attitude, dress, and demeanor.
  • Present training materials clearly, confidently, and effectively to engage trainees.

Session Facilitation

  • Deliver training content, check for understanding, and guide trainees through activities while adhering to the training schedule.
  • Set clear expectations, collect and document feedback, and identify areas for improvement (e.g., attendance, product knowledge, performance).
  • Review and grade trainee assignments and activities to ensure understanding and alignment.

Feedback and Assessment

  • Review and address trainee feedback and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Trainer and Manager to document trainee performance and conduct 1:1 assessments as needed.

Mock Events and Role Plays

  • Prepare for and lead mock buy events and role plays, modeling professionalism and best practices.

Organization and Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean and organized training space, ensuring all materials and resources are readily available.
  • Encourage trainees to take responsibility for maintaining their work areas.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the training team to ensure smooth session execution and delivery.
  • Communicate any needs or suggestions to improve the training program.

Travel

  • Requirement for intermittent travel to observe events and participate in training or industry trade shows.

Other tasks and training as needed.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should have at least 1 year of professional experience in curriculum development and instruction, preferably with experience teaching adult learners.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, paired with a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to provide constructive feedback and guide others effectively.
  • Experience as a second-hand buyer of jewelry/watches/precious metals is a plus
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Possess acute observational capabilities to track and analyze specifics regarding learner behavior, performance, and interpersonal dynamics.
