Lathe Operator in Palmetto, Florida at Inline Filling Systems Inc

Join our team as a Lathe Operator and play a key role in producing custom precision parts for a leading manufacturer. We're looking for someone with experience of programming and operating automatic lathes, who can also step in on a manual lathe when needed.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Set up, program, and operate lathes to produce custom metal parts to spec.

· Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate part production.

· Perform quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

· Adjust tooling and machine settings as needed to maintain part accuracy.

· Operate a manual lathe for special projects or low-volume work.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company safety procedures.

· Willingness to share knowledge/help other operators

Qualifications/Essential Functions:

· Adept at using small hand and power tools

· Strong Understanding of blueprint reading and machining principles

· Good paperwork and counting skills

· Attention to details and a commitment to quality

· Knowledge of shop measurement

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, sit, and stand repeatedly

· Able to work independently and as a part of the team

· Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment.

· Willingness to assist other departments as directed.
