CNC Mill Operator in Palmetto, Florida at Inline Filling Systems Inc

Join our team as a Lathe Operator and play a key role in producing custom precision parts for a leading manufacturer. We're looking for someone with experience of programming and operating automatic lathes, who can also step in on a manual lathe when needed.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up, program, and operate lathes to produce custom metal parts to spec.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate part production.
• Perform quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Adjust tooling and machine settings as needed to maintain part accuracy.
• Operate a manual lathe for special projects or low-volume work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company safety procedures.
• Willingness to share knowledge/help other operators

Qualifications/Essential Functions:

• Adept at using small hand and power tools
• Strong Understanding of blueprint reading and machining principles
• Good paperwork and counting skills
• Attention to details and a commitment to quality
• Knowledge of shop measurement
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, sit, and stand repeatedly
• Able to work independently and as a part of the team
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Willingness to assist other departments as directed.
