Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions in Canada.

This role sits at the heart of a global HR lifecycle function, ensuring seamless, compliant, and high-quality employee transitions across multiple international jurisdictions. You will manage complex offboarding processes while delivering a consistent and respectful employee experience for external workforce populations. Acting as a key HR advisor, you will also provide first-level employee relations support, helping clients navigate sensitive workplace situations with clarity and compliance. The position operates in a fast-paced, fully remote, and asynchronous environment where precision, autonomy, and strong communication are essential. You will collaborate with legal, payroll, benefits, and customer success teams to ensure alignment across all employment matters. This is a high-impact role for an HR professional passionate about global employment, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle transitions, with a strong focus on compliant offboarding processes and employee relations support across global markets.

  • Manage full-cycle employee offboarding processes across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and a high-quality experience
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, redundancies, and other employment lifecycle events
  • Facilitate sensitive conversations including workforce reductions, separations, and settlement discussions
  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws, policies, and regulatory requirements across different regions
  • Provide first-level employee relations support, including workplace concern assessments and guidance
  • Coordinate with legal, payroll, benefits, and external stakeholders to ensure compliant case resolution
  • Draft and manage termination documentation with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Process lifecycle changes in HR systems and ensure data integrity across platforms
  • Monitor employee relations cases and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational enhancements
  • Support clients in understanding policies, disciplinary processes, and documentation requirements
  • Maintain strong communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders
Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong HR advisory experience, particularly across employee relations and lifecycle management in global or multi-jurisdictional environments, combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience as an HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, or similar generalist HR role
  • Strong background managing employee exits (voluntary and involuntary) with compliance and sensitivity
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Understanding of employee relations principles, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience working in fast-paced, remote, or global environments is highly valued
  • Tech-savvy with experience using HR systems and collaboration tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities effectively
  • English fluency (additional languages are a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
