Director of Advanced Practice Providers Summary
The Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) is responsible for promoting the highest clinical quality and effectiveness, embracing a culture of excellence in team-based delivery of clinical services within all TidalHealth locations and service lines. This role maintains an active clinical practice, with at least 25% of time dedicated to clinical work within the APP’s area of specialty to support ongoing engagement with patient care and frontline operations.
The Director of APP is to lead and monitor APP integration and deliverables within initiatives focused upon optimizing the efficacy and efficiency of clinical operations and improving patient access, services and quality/safety outcomes utilizing a data-driven, process-focused and outcomes-oriented approach and optimize the clinical competencies and training. The Director of APP will lead evidence-based programs, practices, and activities, establish transparent processes to monitor performance against stated goals, and assure accountability for performance as measured by quality, service, and financial outcomes.
Director of Advanced Practice ProvidersRequirements
Education:
- Master of Science in nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
License and/or certification:
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA)
Experience:
- Six (6) years of clinical experience as a NP or PA is required.
- Five (5) years of management experience is preferred.
Director of Advanced Practice Providers Schedule
- Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday
- Evenings and weekends may be required as needed.
