Job Purpose:
We are looking for hardworking individuals to apply that can primarily sandblast trailers as well as cut parts for the welding department. The ideal candidate for this position will be willing to cross train in every aspect of the welding department and be a team player.
Job Details:
- This is a first shift position, and the hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Starting pay for this position starts at $15.90/hour based on experience.
- All positions are safety sensitive. A safety sensitive position is any position designated in writing by an employer, in which a person performing the position while under the influence of marijuana may constitute a threat to health or safety.
- Qualified candidates will be asked to submit to drug testing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sandblasting and utilizing proper PPE
- Plasma Cutting
- Metal Fabrication
- MiG welding, including the following:
- Create quality welds according to specifications.
- Inspect welds for accuracy.
- Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel parts.
- Change wire, welding, as needed.
- Change gas tanks, as needed
- Oxygen/Acetylene torch
- Responsible for the proper identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location.
- Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
- Operate forklift, if required and trained.
- Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by standards.
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
- Hydraulic Diagnostic and Repair
- Electrical Diagnostic and Repair
- Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
- Perform other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as needed.
Essential qualifications include:
- Previous MiG Welding experience
- Sandblasting Experience
- Forklift experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment
- Be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary, to move equipment around in the department.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
