Are you ready to take the next step in your nursing leadership career while making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and adolescents? At SC Byars Treatment Center (PRTF), you’ll lead and coordinate professional nursing care across the site during your assigned shift, supporting a safe, structured environment for the individuals we serve. You’ll ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and safety while mentoring nursing team members, fostering collaboration, and building a culture of trust and accountability. This is an opportunity for a confident clinical leader who is passionate about helping young people and can balance strong nursing expertise with effective people leadership.

What You’ll Do
As a key clinical leader, you will provide supervisory oversight to nursing and support staff during your shift. You’ll monitor clinical operations to ensure quality care and adherence to policies, while also assessing staffing needs and adjusting as necessary to maintain safe ratios. You’ll guide the team in patient care decision-making, step in to support during changes in condition, and assist with level-of-care evaluations and insurance pre-authorizations. You’ll also coach, train, and counsel staff to strengthen performance, all while promoting a culture of patient safety, continuous improvement, and engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (required); bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
• Experience:
• At least two (2) years of current nursing experience (required)
• Psychiatric nursing and progressive leadership experience (preferred)
• Experience with adolescents and youth
• Licenses/Certifications: Unrestricted nursing license in state of employment or compact license (required)

Why Join Us
This is more than a supervisory role—it’s a chance to influence patient care outcomes while shaping and mentoring a dedicated team. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, physicians, and staff to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care. Here, your expertise as both a nurse and a leader will make a lasting impact on patients, staff, and the broader community.
