About American Power Innovations

American Power Innovations designs and builds custom-engineered electrical power distribution equipment for operations where uptime is not optional. Our Tulsa, Oklahoma plant produces power distribution centers (PDCs), motor control centers (MCCs), switch racks, low- and medium-voltage VFD skids, and custom PLC control panels — engineered, assembled, tested, and commissioned under one roof. The company carries more than 80 years of power distribution heritage. Formerly Layco Electric Innovations, we rebranded as American Power Innovations in 2025 to reflect a period of significant growth and to reinforce our commitment to American manufacturing and domestically sourced materials. Our customers span energy and utilities, data centers, chemical processing, defense, and municipal infrastructure — industries in which a single equipment failure carries real consequences. Our culture is built on four commitments: Customer First – Always, Our People – Our Power, Accountability for Self, and Collaboration at the Highest Level. We are a hands-on organization that values problem solvers, craftsmanship, and people who take ownership of the work in front of them.
