286 Madison Dental is hiring a polished, patient-focused Dental Office Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our modern, multi-specialty practice in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Located just steps from Grand Central and Bryant Park, our office serves busy NYC professionals and families - and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-service environment.

If you have dental insurance experience and love building relationships, keeping schedules running smoothly, and creating a calm, confident patient experience from the moment someone walks in, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome patients warmly and create an elevated, professional first impression
• Answer phones, assist patients with questions, and schedule appointments efficiently
• Verify and communicate dental insurance benefits, eligibility, and estimates (experience required)
• Manage patient check-in/check-out and ensure accurate patient information in the system
• Maintain accurate records and support data entry and document management
• Collect payments, balance transactions, and support basic financial clerical duties
• Coordinate with clinical teams to keep patient flow smooth and schedules on track
• Use scripts and communication guidelines in person and over the phone (as assigned)

Requirements

• Dental insurance experience (required)
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service, organization, and professionalism
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Confident phone etiquette and excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with dental software (Denticon preferred, but not required)
• Typing proficiency (40+ WPM preferred)
• A positive, team-first attitude and commitment to patient experience
