The Dermot Company, a New York City based real estate developer and operator is seeking a Leasing & Marketing Intern to join our team during the summer months, June - August.

This is an onsite position with work hours of 9 to 6pm, including weekends.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN DURING THIS INTERNSHIP

• Introduction and basic understanding of residential real estate in a luxury building
• Enhancing your customer service skills and learning best practices in dealing with prospects and residents
• How to best create a marketing strategy to generate leads
• Working with social media and website updates to bring awareness to our properties
• Reporting on leasing activities and market surveys
• Qualifying prospects and scheduling viewings
• Basics of leasing and preleasing and applicable paperwork
• Touring prospects throughout a property and guiding them through the leasing process

ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU OFFER

• A genuine interest in the real estate industry
• Prior office work experience
• Familiarity of social media and communication technology platform
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, presentation and organization skills
• Ability to anticipate the needs of others and easily adapt to rapidly evolving situations
• A strong work ethic and commitment to meet deadlines
• Ability to work on weekends
• Proficiency in Google Suite, MSOffice
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions whatsoever

This summer leasing internship will pay a gross hourly rate of $20.00.
