At Riverbend Community Mental Health, we believe that sometimes the most powerful support comes from someone who truly understands. We are seeking a courageous, compassionate, and authentic Peer Support Specialist to join our Mobile Crisis Team and help individuals navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will be more than an employee—you will be a bridge to hope, connection, and recovery. Your lived experience and personal understanding of the recovery journey will provide a unique and invaluable perspective that helps individuals feel heard, respected, and supported when they need it most.

Working alongside clinicians, crisis responders, and community partners, you will respond to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and provide encouragement, advocacy, and practical support. Through genuine connection and shared experience, you will help individuals recognize their strengths, explore options for recovery, and see that a crisis does not define their future.

In this impactful role, you will:

• Provide compassionate peer support during behavioral health crises
• Build trusting relationships with individuals and families during vulnerable moments
• Offer hope, encouragement, and recovery-focused guidance through shared experience
• Collaborate with crisis clinicians and first responders to support individuals in the community
• Help connect individuals with resources, services, and ongoing supports

At Riverbend, we recognize that lived experience is a powerful form of expertise. Your journey, resilience, and voice can help transform how people experience crisis care and remind individuals that recovery is not only possible—it is happening every day.

If you are passionate about helping others, believe in the power of human connection, and want to use your experience to make a difference in your community, we invite you to join our Mobile Crisis Team.

At Riverbend, your story can become a lifeline for someone else.
