About This Position

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Clinical Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Resident is responsible for performing all functions of a clinical pharmacist as part of a structured one-year residency program designed to advance the resident’s clinical and professional competencies. Throughout the program, the resident will develop enhanced skills as both a clinician and an educator while providing care to patients and collaborating with health care professionals in inpatient and ambulatory care settings at Berkshire Medical Center. The resident also seeks to improve workflow in procedural areas by establishing a patient-centered care model that enhances operational efficiency, minimizes adverse medication-related events, and reduces medication costs for both the hospital and its patients JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

Student at an accredited college of pharmacy

Education:

Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy with Pharm.D. degree. Concentration or experience in institutional pharmacy is preferred.

Licensure & Certifications:

MA Pharm – Licensed MA Pharmacist within 90 days of starting residency year.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. High attention to detail with a solid understanding of organizational workflows and processes. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision from preceptors or the residency program director. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
