Job Overview

First impressions matter! As a Parking Attendant at Seven Oaks, you’ll be one of the first team members our guests see when they arrive. Your friendly attitude, clear communication, and helpful guidance help set the tone for a great day at Seven Oaks.

The Parking Attendant is responsible for safely and efficiently directing vehicle traffic, maximizing available parking space, assisting guests upon arrival, and helping maintain a safe and organized parking environment. This position works outdoors in varying winter weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to guest service and safety.

Essential Job Functions

Parking & Traffic Control

• Greet arriving guests and vehicles in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Provide clear directions regarding parking locations, traffic flow, space availability, and pedestrian areas.
• Direct vehicles safely and efficiently into designated parking spaces.
• Organize vehicles to maximize available parking lot capacity.
• Use appropriate hand signals and verbal communication when directing traffic.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic to help maintain a safe parking environment.
• Assist with traffic flow during busy arrival and departure periods.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or other concerns to management promptly.

Guest Service

• Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests upon arrival.
• Answer general questions and provide directions to Seven Oaks facilities and guest areas.
• Maintain a friendly, approachable, and helpful attitude, even during busy periods or challenging weather conditions.
• Help create a positive first impression by providing excellent customer service.

Parking Area Safety & Maintenance

• Monitor parking areas and walkways for potential hazards.
• Assist with light snow removal, shoveling, or clearing around parking and pedestrian areas as needed.
• Help maintain an orderly, clean, and safe parking environment.
• Follow all Seven Oaks safety procedures and instructions from management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to effectively use hand signals and verbal directions when directing vehicles.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to remain calm, positive, and professional during busy periods.
• Comfortable working independently while remaining attentive to vehicle and pedestrian activity.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in changing and sometimes extreme winter weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk outdoors for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently use arms and hands to signal and direct vehicles.
• Ability to perform light shoveling and snow clearing as needed.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures, snow, ice, wind, and other winter weather conditions.
• Regular exposure to moving vehicles, vehicle exhaust, snow-covered surfaces, and changing outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to remain alert and attentive to vehicle and pedestrian movement throughout the shift.
