Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Position Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides safe, high-quality, and age-appropriate anesthesia care as part of a physician-directed healthcare team. As a member of the medical staff, the CRNA delivers anesthesia services for both medical and surgical patients, performing routine and complex procedures while adhering to evidence-based standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations appropriate to the level of care
• Administer anesthesia for a wide range of procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Accurately document all patient encounters and clinical interventions
• Identify and interpret normal and abnormal findings from labs, imaging, and clinical assessments
• Order and manage appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Demonstrate strong pharmacological knowledge and safe medication administration
• Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to collaborating physicians
• Advocate for patients and families within scope of practice
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety policies, and regulatory standards
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Serve as a mentor, preceptor, and resource for students and staff
• Promote teamwork and maintain positive working relationships across the care team

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred:

• Prior experience in anesthesia across a variety of surgical settings
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
