Job Description
Responsible to: Assigned QIDP/House Director, then to administrator.
Work Hours: Hours vary depending on participant needs. Involves evening, weekend, and holidays. Services delivered in the community as well as in the participant’s home.
Specific Duties:
? Implements program intervention strategies plans as written.
? Takes, records, and monitors data. Completes written documentation as directed.
? Establish a relationship with people in the home and become familiar with pertinent information on each individual.
? Support and follow the direction of the QIDP.
? Assure compliance with OSHA and all other safety requirements.
? Provide leadership to co-workers, model learned skills and give feedback as needed.
? Assume responsibility for shifts when designated to do so.
? Meets regularly to receive training on the program and procedures to be followed, and to review therapy provided.
? Provides transportation services as needed.
? Prepares equipment and materials needed for implementation of developmental intervention strategies.
? Ensures safety of participants.
? Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
? Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
? Position requires that employees possess a safe driving record and an Idaho Driver’s License.
? Current car insurance covers the car that participants will be in.
? Reliable transportation when on shift
? Ability to read and implement training programs for people with developmental disabilities.
? Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. If unable to please make sure list restrictions in Employee Profile sheet.
? Employees are required to practice all necessary safety rules and regulations when accompanying participants both in the home and community.
? physically assist in activities of daily living, pull, and push a wheelchair, get in and out of the homes of participants.
? Must be able to make observations of non-verbal behavior and check tasks and activities for completeness.
? Perform all activities of daily living that are taught.
? Goes through an Orientation and Training Program.
Requirements:? Be 18 years of age.
? Must possess a High School diploma or GED or demonstrate competency with paperwork responsibilities.
? Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
? Be free from communicable diseases.
? Pass a Criminal Background Check
? Assistance with Medications Certification in order to assist with medication.
? Have met all training requirements as outlined in 16.04.17.204 of the rules.
