About the Role

As a Non-CDL Airline Catering Driver, youll play an important role in ensuring aircraft are properly stocked and ready for departure. Youll operate company catering trucks to deliver prepackaged meals, beverages, snacks, and airline equipment to domestic and international flights while removing used equipment from arriving aircraft.

This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced aviation environment where safety, teamwork, communication, and on-time performance are essential. Youll work closely with dispatchers, security personnel, and airline flight crews to ensure each delivery is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

No CDL is required for this position.

What Youll Do

Aircraft Catering & Delivery

* Safely operate company catering trucks to deliver meals, beverages, snacks, and airline equipment to aircraft.

* Load and unload airline catering carts, ovens, cutlery, and other supplies according to airline specifications.

* Remove used catering carts, equipment, and other items from arriving aircraft.

* Use hydraulic lift systems to raise the trucks catering body to aircraft door height for loading and unloading.

* Verify that deliveries are accurate and completed according to airline requirements and scheduled departure times.

Dispatch & Airline Coordination

* Communicate with dispatchers to receive assignments, coordinate delivery routes, and respond to schedule changes.

* Work directly with flight attendants and airline personnel to coordinate aircraft catering services.

* Adjust to changing flight schedules, aircraft assignments, and delivery priorities.

* Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members to support efficient operations.

Safety, Security & Compliance

* Coordinate with security personnel to verify that all required meals, beverages, supplies, and equipment are accounted for before departure.

* Follow required security inspection, clearance, and truck-sealing procedures before completing deliveries.

* Follow all company safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable airport regulations.

* Safely operate catering trucks, hydraulic lift systems, and equipment while working around aircraft.

* Maintain airport security credentials and comply with airport access requirements.

* Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and operational delays promptly.

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

* Valid drivers license.

* Ability to obtain and maintain required airport security credentials/badge.

* Ability to safely operate company vehicles and complete required driver and equipment training.

* Comfortable working at elevated heights while operating hydraulic catering truck systems.

* Ability to push, pull, and maneuver catering carts and equipment weighing approximately 5070 pounds.

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout shifts lasting eight hours or longer.

* Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on operational needs.

* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with dispatchers, security personnel, and airline crews.

* Ability to follow safety procedures, security requirements, and detailed instructions.

* Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in delivery routes, flight schedules, and operational priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

* 12 years of experience operating company vehicles, box trucks, or larger commercial-style vehicles.

* Previous experience in transportation, delivery, logistics, airport operations, or airline catering.

* Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is not required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position operates in a fast-paced airport environment where flight schedules, delivery assignments, and operational priorities may change frequently.

Employees must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, around aircraft and moving vehicles, and at elevated heights when operating hydraulic catering truck systems.

The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequent physical activity, and the ability to safely maneuver heavy catering carts and equipment. Shifts may exceed eight hours based on operational needs.
