Duties for This Position

As a Billing Representative, you will ensure that all necessary information for proper billing is recorded and talk to patients as required to ensure that account information is correct. You will review and update patient insurance information and evaluate medical claims when additional attention is needed. You will key and transmit claims electronically and work with insurance companies and patients to obtain payment on accounts. You may also work with industrial insurance carriers for worker’s compensation.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

One year clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting is preferrerd.

Required Skills

Excellent computer skills required. Typing and ten key capabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
