About This Position
Supports the College Mission to serve students, employers, and the College community. Provides leadership and quality job skills training in a safe, clean environment. Maintains a positive and productive learning environment by working collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, and College partners.
Instruction & Assessment
- Provide high-quality instruction using approved curriculum, assessments, and teaching methods.
- Evaluate student learning, provide qualitative feedback, and maintain accurate records in the student information system.
- Orient new students to classroom technology, expectations, procedures, and safety standards.
Student Guidance & Success Support
- Advise students on course selection, academic progression, and graduation requirements.
- Promote job readiness by reinforcing professionalism, strong work habits, and effective employment-seeking skills.
- Identify and address barriers to student success, coordinating with Student Services when needed.
Learning Environment & Resource Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized training environment.
- Ensure adequate instructional supplies, oversee responsible use of materials and equipment, and coordinate maintenance or replacement as necessary.
Collaboration & Communication
- Foster a classroom culture of teamwork, communication, and respect.
- Communicate program needs and updates with faculty, support staff, and leadership.
- Collaborate with College departments—including marketing, public relations, grants, and accreditation—to support program and institutional initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a high school graduate, and
- Two (2) years combined relevant education and experience.
- Must hold current, assignment-appropriate industry certifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior teaching experience preferable at a college level.
