Business Development Manager — New Business Sales

This is a quota-carrying B2B hunter role—not account management, customer service, retail sales, or order taking. We are looking for a proven new-business salesperson who builds pipeline from a cold start, reaches decision-makers, closes profitable contracts, and consistently finishes above quota.

Kept Companies is the parent company of nine leading facility maintenance brands. What began as a mobile washing business more than 50 years ago has grown into a national provider of industrial cleaning and maintenance services.

You will own new customer acquisitions in the assigned market. Success is measured by qualified pipeline created, new revenue closed, gross margin, forecast accuracy, and quota attainment—not by activity alone.

· Prospect daily through cold calls, targeted email, field outreach, networking, referrals, and disciplined follow-up.

· Build your own pipeline and maintain enough qualified opportunity coverage to achieve quota.

· Target multi-location businesses and engage owners, operators, facility leaders, procurement teams, and other decision-makers.

· Run the full sales cycle: account research, outreach, discovery, site assessment, solution development, proposal, negotiation, and close.

· Sell on operational and financial value rather than price alone.

· Maintain accurate CRM records, next steps, close dates, pipeline values, and forecasts.

· Coordinate a clean handoff to operations after the sale while remaining accountable for the customer commitment.

· You create opportunities instead of waiting for inbound leads.

· You can document past quota, attainment percentage, new revenue closed, average deal size, sales cycle, and personal contribution.

· You are comfortable being measured every week on pipeline creation, prospecting consistency, conversion, forecast accuracy, and closed revenue.

· You recover quickly from rejection, ask for the business, and keep deals moving.

· You consistently meet quota and have a record of overachievement.

· At least five years of successful, quota-carrying B2B sales experience.

· At least two years in a true new-business hunter role with personal responsibility for prospecting and closing net-new accounts.

· Live in the Seattle WA area within reasonable travel distance to our operation center in SeaTac on 16th Ave South.

· A verifiable record of meeting or exceeding an assigned revenue quota. Finalists should be prepared to discuss specific annual quotas and results by year.

· Experience selling directly to businesses through a multi-step sales process—not primarily to consumers.

· Ability to describe recent new accounts personally sourced and closed, including prospecting method, buyer, deal value, sales cycle, and result.

· Strong discovery, business-case development, proposal, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

· Working discipline with CRM, pipeline management, territory planning, and forecasting.

· Residence in the City, State area within a reasonable commuting distance of our Operations Center.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for market travel.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

· Consistent attainment above 100% of quota, with multiple years at 110% or better.

· Recognition such as President’s Club, top-performer ranking, or documented sales awards.

· Experience winning multi-location or recurring-service contracts.

· Experience selling into distribution, transportation, supermarkets, facilities, fuel, restaurant, industrial, or related markets.

· Established knowledge of the local business market and relevant decision-makers.

· $70,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions on ongoing revenue generated from your sales.

· Forecast first-year total compensation of $76,000 to $87,000, with greater earning potential as your book of business grows.

· Patented capabilities and technology that help differentiate our services.

· Company-provided laptop, cell phone, and Ramp Visa for approved business expenses.

· Career development and advancement opportunities in a growing national company.

Work location: Hybrid remote with regular travel throughout the assigned market.

Please apply only if you have personally carried a B2B new-business quota and can discuss your results with numbers. In your application, include your quota and attainment for the last two full years, the amount of net-new revenue you personally closed, your typical deal size and sales cycle, and one example of a customer you sourced through outbound prospecting. Applications that describe only account management, inbound leads, retail or consumer sales, team results, or general relationship building without individual quota evidence will not move forward.
