Position Description: Job Title: Office Assistant

Location: Kansas

Position Overview: We are actively seeking an experienced Office assistant with bookkeeping or light accounting experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our daily operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in administrative tasks, and contributing to the financial management of our properties.

Responsibilities:

Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
Handle mail, including sorting, opening, and distributing incoming mail.
Assist in reviewing monthly management reports from third party manager
Depending on skill set, post accounting entries. (minimal monthly)
Manage certified mail and maintain records of return receipts.
Serve as the point of contact for coordinating cleaning services.
Perform scanning and copying tasks as required.
Manage autopay for bills.
Prepare and file annual reports for all business entities.
Ensure timely renewal of licenses required for properties.
Reconcile company credit card statements.
Provide notary services as required. (preferred)

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant with knowledge of bookkeeping or general accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software (RentManager experience not required but a plus).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Previous experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
