Electronic Records Validation Reviewer
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Records Validation Reviewer to compare electronic records with corresponding paper documentation and determine whether existing record matches are accurate and adequately supported.
The reviewer will follow established matching criteria, document findings, identify discrepancies, and escalate questionable or unsupported matches for additional review. This position requires a high level of accuracy and strict adherence to confidentiality and data-security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Compare electronic records with corresponding paper records using established validation criteria.
- Verify identifying information and determining whether existing matches are valid.
- Identify false matches, duplicates, incomplete records, and discrepancies.
- Document validation decisions, discrepancies, and required follow-up.
- Escalate ambiguous or unsupported matches.
- Participate in training and initial calibration reviews.
- Maintain accurate records and an audit trail of completed reviews.
- Participate in quality-control and secondary review processes.
- Prepare and maintain validation logs and exception reports.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements, including CJIS requirements.
- Follow procedures for securing, tracking, and returning paper records and working materials.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience reviewing, comparing, or validating records and data.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow established rules and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-entry/database systems.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent review standards.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Previous experience with electronic and/or paper records, data validation, quality assurance, or records management is preferred.
