About This Position

Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Provide excellent customer service.
Prepare, package and stock produce products for customers.
Maintain product integrity in produce area, meeting or exceeding health department standards.
Rotate inventory appropriately, FIFO.
Order product from designated vendors.
Answer customer's questions regarding products, policies and services that AVP provides.
Maintain clean and orderly department, walk-in etc.
Request information or assistance using the PA system.
Train, teach and educate fellow staff members on produce rules and regulations.
Assure fellow staff members are following produce rules and regulations.
Help to resolve customer's complaints.
Maintain proper communication with managers and fellow co-workers.
Assist Grocery Manager with weekly schedule.

Qualifications:

Must possess strong understanding of produce
Mathematics skills
Basic reading
Ordering/inventory knowledge
HAACP knowledge
Food Safety knowledge
Understanding of scale/weight

Must Demonstrate:

Attention to detail
Problem solving skills
Ability to take direction

Ability to:

Stand for several hours
Walk
Bend down
Lift and carry at least 50 pounds
Perform various repetitive motions
