Trinity School for Children, a premier early learning institution in Tampa, is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Coordinator to join our administrative team. Now in our 26th year, Trinity is deeply rooted in parent partnership, community engagement, and the education of the whole child — intellectually, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.
We provide an exceptional educational experience for children from infancy through Pre-K, and we’re looking for a dedicated leader who can support our Early Childhood program and help shape the next generation of learners.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (flexibility to work until 6:00 p.m. or for special events)
Salary: $55,000–$70,000 starting range — no cap on future earning potential
Location: On-site, Tampa, FL with limited travel locally for field studies and events
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Program Oversight
Serve as key support and back-up to Early Childhood Administration.
Plan, organize, and implement early childhood programs, including curriculum, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Review lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom schedules for quality and alignment.
Monitor classroom ratios and staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage.
Assist with staff meetings, event planning, and school calendar creation.
Help draft and maintain policies, procedures, and handbooks.
Ensure adherence to all Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing and inspection requirements.
Flexible to assist in classrooms or clinic as needed, to maintain operations and student safety.
Staff Support & Development
Collaborate in budgeting, operations, and adherence to policies.
Support onboarding, scheduling, and training of new staff.
Observe and evaluate staff performance; support professional growth through coaching and development.
Participate in hiring, 90-day reviews, and timecard approvals.
Maintain your own professional development plan for continuous growth.
Family & Community Engagement
Build strong relationships with families and community partners.
Support family engagement activities, tours, and conferences.
Address parent concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Coordinate student mentors, interns, and school events.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all student and staff documentation is complete and organized.
Oversee use of Brightwheel for communication and record-keeping.
Review student incident reports, assessments, and placement rosters.
Maintain licensing compliance and safety procedures.
Professional Conduct
Model positive, respectful, and professional interactions with children, staff, and families.

Maintain confidentiality and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; required
Previous administrative leadership experience, or 8+ years of classroom teacher experience
Strong understanding of child development and early childhood best practices
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technology proficiency
Ability to analyze situations and make effective decisions for children, families and staff
Proficiency in time management, organization, and navigation of a dynamic work-environment involving multiple demands and interruptions
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Florida Department of Education (FDOE) Teaching Certification
Department of Children and Families (DCF) Staff and Director Credentials
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to safely lift children up to 30 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
Ability to sit and kneel on the floor without assistance
Ability to walk within a two-block radius of the center
Ability to push/pull playground equipment, manipulate art supplies, and operate standard office equipment
