Salary Range or Pay Grade: $75,000 - $140,000
Description
The William S. Dietrich II Economic Theory Center of the Department of Economics may have an opening for a Visiting Research Scholar, expected to start in September 2027. Primary criteria are the quality of the applicant's research and interest/experience in microeconomic theory.
Visiting Research Scholars spend an academic year in residence at Princeton. They are given office space and the opportunity to pursue their own research on any topic in microeconomic theory. Visiting Research Scholars may participate in the University's teaching program if mutually agreed, with sufficient course enrollments, and with the approval of the Office of the Dean of the Faculty. Visiting Research Scholars must be employed at an institution other than Princeton during their visit. The amount that Princeton provides will depend on the level of support the Visiting Research Scholar will receive from his or her home institution during the visit.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctorate or equivalent degree. The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University. This position is not eligible for sponsorship of an H-1B visa requiring consular processing.
