COMPANY OVERVIEW
NukeMed Technologies is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and production locations in South Bend, IN; Bunker Hill, IN; and Danbury, CT with plans for additional future production facilities. We are seeking a Architectural Summer Intern to support our growing operations. The Architectural Summer Intern will use an architects specifications to create detailed drawings for buildings and structures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs of buildings and interiors from an architects rough drawings.
- Studies building codes and regulations and determines how they will affect architectural designs.
- Organizes structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.
- Draws plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers and architects.
- Visits jobsites to gather data needed to complete designs.
- Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered.
- Working with an architect, generates costs estimates, contracts, and other documents required for individual projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE-SKILLS-ABILITIES
- Physical Ability – Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and stand for prolonged periods.
- Attention to Detail – Ability to accurately count, verify, and record inventory data.
- Active Listening – Giving full attention to instructions and communications, asking questions as appropriate.
- Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Time Management – Managing own time to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions in a team environment.
- Oral Comprehension – The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Written Comprehension – The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing, including packing slips, work orders, and labels.
- Basic Math Skills – Ability to count accurately and perform basic arithmetic for inventory reconciliation.
- Organizational Skills – Ability to maintain orderly storage areas and accurate records.
TRAVEL
- Regular travel is not expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- HS diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software and other architectural drafting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with a manufacturing or production environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Indiana driver's license.
- Pass a Background Check.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
