JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Creates visual concepts using computer software to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate the organization’s target audience. Produces a wide variety of items in print and digital form and uses acquired skills to produce specialized projects such as interior design and signage. Produces print and digital materials using established templates and brand guidelines. Produces innovative and unique creative campaign materials. Coordinates project workflow from concept through completion and partners on projects with other creative staff. Serves creative operations administrative roles by coordinating marketing service requests and supporting project management processes or the digital asset management process.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Marketing and Communications Department is an award-winning team that provides strategic counseling and planning services, including the coordination and implementation of marketing, public relations and internal communications programs and activities systemwide. The scope of the department includes strategic marketing and communications (traditional and digital), branding counseling and development, graphic design and videography. The staff also represents Samaritan Health Services in public and media relations efforts and in the capacity of public information officer for emergency management-related events.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
-
Three (3) years experience working in a high-volume, high-quality production environment required.
-
Two (2) years experience in graphic design software applications including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop required.
-
One (1) year experience or training in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
-
Experience working as a production coordinator or traffic controller for an in-house or agency design team preferred.
-
Experience or training in the web design process, video production, multimedia and photography preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative storytelling skills. Knowledge of writing conventions, AP writing style knowledge.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines.
