POSITION SUMMARY:

The Repair Technician is responsible for the overall inspection and repair of valves and products to ensure quality products are sent to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Disassemble valves and parts in order to prep for inspection.
2. Prep valves and parts for reassembly in order to test.
3. Troubleshoot to figure out problems with items that won’t test.
4. Phosphate product as per Work Instructions when required.
5. Mount and dismount actuators from repairs.
6. Keep work areas and tools clean and safe.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Minimum one (1) year of valve technician experience preferred.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

1. Must be able to operate forklift.
2. Must have basic computer skills.
3. Must have ability to multi-task.
4. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.

Physical: Primary functions require physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; too infrequently climb on ladders or stairs; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, must be worn at all times while in the shop.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

All employees are to be indoctrinated in the QMS within sixty (60) days of hire.
