About This Position
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC & Dragon machinery to produce high-precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, steel fabrication detail drawings, and quality inspection to ensure products meet strict specifications. The CNC Plasma Table & Dragon Operator will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production workflows and maintaining safety standards within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various CNC machines including CNC Plasma Table, Dragon CNC Tube Cutter.
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software to produce detailed parts according to Steel Fabrication Detail Drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC Plasma Table & Dragon equipment to minimize downtime.
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols is REQUIRED.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving welding, assembly, and fabrication processes.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards through inspection and testing before final assembly or shipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC Plasma Table, CNC Dragon Pipe Cutter, or plasma cutters.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in steel fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency with programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and assembly processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with forklift operation is a MUST.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
