The Commercial/Sales Account Manager provides personalized solutions to fit our customer’s equipment, tooling, and consumable needs. This will include transactional sales as well as strategic accounts sales. The ideal candidate is a team player who displays exceptional sales and customer service skills, along with the ability to build/maintain long-term relationships. The customer base would include project sites, construction businesses, contractors, scaffolding, industrial, electrical power welding & rigging industries to name a few.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include increasing the company’s market share by prospecting new business while servicing and growing existing accounts in assigned territory.
Fostering and forging new/existing relationships that impact the long-term success and sales of our products and services, including quoting and selling/up-selling/cross-selling to drive an increased share of customer spend and trust in AMECO.
Proactively identify profitable sales opportunities.
Continual cross-selling across AMECO’s various business, lines, platforms, and service offerings.
Managing assigned account base ensuring customer service/satisfaction expectations are met while achieving sales and profitability objectives.
Develop, monitor, negotiate and secure contracts for agreed-upon services.
Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations.
Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement an appropriate course of action.
Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in applicable field of study; and five years of experience, or
A combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years.

Minimum Qualifications:

Nine (9) years of experience in outside sales, account management or business development (construction equipment industry preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis, report generation and formulating sales quotes/materials/presentations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good leadership and managing skills.
Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills.
Understands account management.
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the company’s business, business goals, and ability to serve clients.
Understands commercial/contract terms and negotiation strategy for selling integrated packages.
SAP experience would be a definite plus, particularly SAP Business One.
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to maintain a heavy travel schedule.

This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Individuals may be required to frequently sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, talk, hear, engage in repetitive motions, and demonstrate eye/hand/foot coordination.
Close vision is required for this job.
Employees may be required to occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.

Work Environment:

Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or:
Occasionally may require exposure to production/manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or hard hats. The noise level in the production/manufacturing areas is usually loud.
Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
Environmental conditions may include occasional exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise, and humidity.
Occasionally the performance of this position will require exposure to production/manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or hard hats. The noise level in these areas is usually loud.

Travel Requirements: This position will involve some travel, including overnight stays.
