About Overwatch Mission Critical

Role Overview

The Associate Director is the day-to-day point of contact assisting the assigned client team and reports to a Director. The Associate Director handles internal, employee-facing field operations and serves as the initial approver for time off and expenses; the Director holds final approval. The Associate Director and Director travel together for site visits.


Responsibilities
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact assisting the assigned client team; report to the Director.
  • Conduct site visits with an employee focus, traveling together with the Director for site visits.
  • Hold weekly employee touchpoints; documented via Excel tracker, Teams, email, or Rippling notes.
  • Perform 1:1s (access in Rippling); support monthly formal 1:1s documented in Rippling using the Master Template.
  • Time Off / PTO: serve as the initial approver for assigned reports (Director gives final approval).
  • Expenses (Ramp): serve as the initial approver of expenses (Director gives final approval).
  • Day-to-day expense management for assigned reports.
  • Manage employee offboarding steps in coordination with the Director.
  • Review and manage time cards (when applicable).
  • Handle HR escalations through the appropriate channels.
  • Submit employee recognition up through the Director.
  • Serve as the first line of basic accountability for direct reports.
  • Execute on initiatives and direction set by the Director; Directors verify execution through periodic sampling/review.
  • Escalate all issues within the ORF unit directly to the Director (or VP, if the Director is out of office).


Qualifications:
  • Proven track record within the organization as an employee in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry. (Data Center experience is preferred.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
