Office Duties

• Answering phone & messages & helping Father answer messages
• Helping Father with correspondence, scheduling appointments, sacramental prep
• Publishing, posting, mailing, emailing weekly bulletins Providing Sunday & Holy Day introductions to Mass, announcements, and occasional Prayers of the Faithful to be included in the lector's black binder
• Scheduling use of the church hall/rooms for organizations & individuals (some require forms or Special Event insurance)
• Copying monthly ministry schedules, inserting in bulletins, posting, and emailing to Flocknote
• Helping schedule and prepare for some liturgical and sacramental events: funerals, baptisms, weddings, Confirmation;
• scheduling mass intentions
• Introduction to Mass
  • 1 copy to ambo binder
• Announcements
  • 1 copy to ambo binder
• Bulletin
  • Edit to reflect weekly schedule
    • Update mass times/adorations/meetings
      • Mass requests
    • Update ministry schedule
    • Add any announcements or upcoming information
    • Update the offertory based on the spreadsheet
  • 60-70 copies, 2 sided in color
  • Email a copy sister church
  • Copy into box (needed for audits)
• Ministry Schedule - sent from Megan at the end of the month
• Prayer of the Faithful
  • Edit for spelling/grammar errors
  • Print 2 copies
    • 1 for ambo binder
    • 1 for blue binder next to presider’s chair
• Mass requests
  • Money to Business Manager or Counters
  • Fill out requested dates/masses then record them in a card if needed and send to requester (or at least contact them to let them know the dates for the masses)

*Usually wait on bulletin/announcements until Thursday/Friday so that everyone has a chance to contact you with changes and additions.

*A weekly meeting with priests would help immensely. There are schedule changes that aren’t always communicated.
